On 13th December 2018, No First Night Out held its fifth Partnership Group meeting at the fantastic City Centre venue beneath the Guildhall Art Gallery in the City of London.
It was a coming-together of a fascinating and diverse group of partner organisations, all focussed on sharing ideas and making new connections that will help support homeless and vulnerable individuals well beyond the borders of our project.
Speakers included Rob Payne from HOPE Worldwide, Alan D’Arcy from Causeway Irish Housing Association, Tahmina Nizam from Crisis, and Becky Rice from St Mungo’s/Becky Rice Consulting. It was also the official launch of our 2018 Research Update, a copy of which can be viewed on our Reports & Briefings page.
Workshops on the day included Under 35’s and how we could work together to support young people to access affordable accommodation. We also took an in-depth look at Universal Credit and how the changes have affected clients across the homelessness sector and what improvements we want to see, facilitated by our own NFNO caseworkers Mary, Emmanuel and Joanna.
We think this may have been the final Partnership Meeting hosted by NFNO in its current form, and we’re very grateful to all our wonderful speakers and to all our attendees who contributed so much to the discussion and the flourishing of this network of organisations.
A big Thanks to the team at The City Centre for supporting the event.
